In August 2023, a week on the coast of Montenegro, with one day across the border in Croatia. Lake Skadar, the largest lake in the Balkan Peninsula, is shared by Montenegro and Albania, and its Montenegrin side is a national park. The lake appears in the evening at Vranjina, and again from a boat under a clear summer sky.

The Verige Strait is the narrowest part of the Bay of Kotor, crossed by the ferry between Lepetane and Kamenari. In the afternoon the coast road leads across the border to Dubrovnik, in Croatia. Its walls, almost 2 km long, ring the old town, a UNESCO site since 1979.
